A pawn revolution?

It is hard to see again and again innocent blood pouring from both sides of Lebanon-Israel border.
There is in the Middle East a continuous war, with shorter or longer cease-fire, a war waged by Israelis to have a country, which lives in peace with its neighbors, a war waged by Palestinians to have their own country. A war subsidized by world powers to have a step food in the oil rich area, a war subsidized by some Arab countries to keep alive a conflict which serve their different political games, mainly oppression, division and egoistic interests. Finally both Israelis and Palestinians are humble pawns in a much larger world game, with Kings and Queens from far away.
And indeed, alike in a chess game, the pawns are the first to be sacrificed.Question: Is it possible to provoke a “pawn revolution”? Where black and white pawns form a coalition and just get off the exchequer?

Hi Lou, I was very happy to read this personal comment of yours! :-When I learnt chess (in 1972, during the Fisher-Spassky match), there was something called "pawn promotion". Is that possible in your metaphor?? Anyway, I'd like to give you a laugh with the an image i'm emailing you. best, rama
